moooooovies
Apr. 11th, 2004 10:10 pmI just saw Starsky and Hutch, like, finally, eeeheeeeeheeeeeheee. Marry me, Owen! He's so hot right now. A lot of fun; I do like Zoolander better but I have seen that about a billion times more, so I suppose it's really my duty - in the interests of fairness, you know - to see S&H again^2. Also, S&H achieves an awesome feat in actually managing to be gayer. You know, no real lines have stuck with me, just a series of images and a bunch of giggles.
Also saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: everything they say about this movie is true, it really is excellent, Winslet is enchanting, Carrey is great, Kaufman is amazing, Michael Gondrey is fucking fantastic. This is an absolutely gorgeous and creepy movie, and funny too.
Finally, Meet the Feebles. Peter and Fran and co are sick, sick puppies, but I guess that's why we love them. If you're a fan of perverse humour you have to see this, if only to bask in the brilliance of Sebastian's Sodomy Song.

Date: 2004-04-12 02:52 am (UTC)Owen sitting on Ben's bed, in the dark, just rubbing his chest gently....pretty fucking intimate for two guys who've known each other, what, two weeks? So sweet. We can't make this stuff up!

Date: 2004-04-11 07:24 pm (UTC)Hee! I'm glad to hear S&H was as gay as I expected - still, its one I'll have to wait for on video, as I am broke :(
Speaking of vids, I was going to borrow a whole bunch this week; a large number of very cool movies have made it to dvd, plus there's a few I've been dying to rewatch. You interested?

Date: 2004-04-12 06:29 am (UTC)Well, I kind of have no restraint whatsoever, and went and borrowed videos today. But seeing as how I have limited finances, I ended up getting just weeklies. You're still welcome to come over and watch if you like ;) But if you have work to do, I understand.
I borrowed:
The Recruit
Gods and Monsters
Scooby Doo
The Crocodile Hunter movie
The Adams Family
Truly Madly Deeply
The Sixth Sense
When I return them next week though (when I get some moneys), I'm going to borrow Calender Girls, 28 days, Texas Chainsaw Massicre, SWAT, Love Actually and Kill Bill.
OK, so maybe not ALL of those, seeing as they're all new releases, but definately some of them! :D
