aren't they a natural byproduct of the breaking down of red blood cells? Although I guess if you have too many of them, they're bad....

Yeeerp thats right, and their filtered out by the liver. I have too many atm which is why my eyes are yellow. *makes googly eyes at Jessie*

omg so THAT's what jaundice is! I had no idea it had to do with bilirubins - that's right, they're a pigment or soemthing, too, aren't they?
