I hate not having any money. I've got so much that I want to do over the next couple of weeks - Easter's coming, and that means money for chocolate for friends. Don't expect too much, guys :-) I want to see the Dirty Three at the Gov on the 7th, that's $25 I don't have. I *need* to go to the Book fair on the 1st but to get anything from it I'll need to take money. Tool are out, bastards. Maybe Maynard would treat us fans better if we stopped trading his songs online - nah, I doubt it. Sure, it's expensive to go on tour, and sure, if you have a billion fans you need to get somewhere big. But don't they care about us at all? Why not book two or three nights at a smaller venue? Then there's birthday presents to buy (*wink*), comics that I need to buy - I doubt the school would subsidise them even if it is for coursework. And there are books I want to buy that certainly won't be at the fair. The bad thing about living in Adelaide it that we're all cultureless fucks who can't deal with an author like Poppy Z and therefore can't grasp the idea of stocking her in a bookshop. Goddamn. You know what I wish, right now? I want Neil Gaiman to come down and do a booksigning. Right here. Or at least in SA.
I'm feeling very blue atm - you may have guessed this. I'm in that state where you can't understand why people go on existing when there's so much insufferable unnecessary crap going on. This whole LOTR scandal that's going on atm scares and horrifies me - I pride myself on having pretty good sense of empathy, but I can't understand what would posses that woman to do something like that. Poor Ian.
Luckily I've learnt to think of the things which do make me happy. Like! Both Interview with the Vampire and Cool Runnings are on tonight! Plus, Stephen Fry is on Parkinson (yay!) as well as Cher who'll be talking about her daughter's homosexuality. I'm listening to a fun song. There's some very yummy food in the oven that I'm looking forward to. I'm finally a beta! I love you, lainy! Telanu has finished chapter eight of Freakshow *slavers for a moment*. Things aren't all bad.
