Went to see Help, I'm a Fish!, which apart from having an excellent title is cute with charming animation, and has Alan Rickman to boot.
July 24th - A Mighty Wind
I love me some Chris Guest and co.
July 31st - Identity
Sounds very interesting, plus, John Cusack.
August 28th - Finding Nemo
Pixar consistently turn out top-class stuff, they're incredible.
September 18th - Pirates of the Carribean
I hear that Johnny Depp MAKES this movie.
October 16th - Kill Bill
Come on, it's the new Tarantino, it's pretty much compulsory.
And Return of the King, of course (*slavers*). Also Lilya-4-Eva which will probably not come out here for aaages. Hidalgo, which has horses AND Viggo AND Malcolm McDowell, who could ask for more.
Speaking of prospective fannish events, I need to move to London. Michael, Michael, and Teryl! Wah! Also, the release of the NCBS live DVD (whoooo! It has Blixa!), and the ever-looming Neubauten tour! Not to mention the Fringe Festival is on next year. I will be needing serious cash. Damn, the new semester starts soon.
I am holding in my hot little hand (or at least would be if I went to my room and picked it up) tickets to Ute Lemper!!! Gasp! Shock!! I couldn't believe the ad in the newspaper but tis true. And to think I'd never even heard of her when she came over in 2000 -- although, thinking on it, the first time I saw her was when she appeared on The Fat and sang Little Water Song, which caught my eye because a)the song was by Nick Cave and b)she was too cool. So that must have been on her 2000 tour. Hmmm. I'm sitting in the second row!
Eddie Izzard was wonderful on Rove tonight (last night technically, I guess), but, dammit, if I'm going to indulge (like, when do I not) I'm not going to spend TOO much, so I can only go to one. Also, all the Eddie tickets are probably gone by now.
Plus, Dymocks at Burnside is holding for me a copy of Tommy's Tale, by Alan Cumming. By the way, go watch yourself a copy of The Anniversary Party, it was very enjoyable.
Buffy spoilers! ep 18
Oh. My. God. I remained spoiler-free for the end and it, oh my god, it is so ouchy to think about. Xander is my not-so-secret Buffy boyfriend (he was promoted when Oz left) and I love him. Not to mention I have a thing about eye touchies, eeeeeeeeep.
OK, I'm off to pop a shitload of anti-histamines, good night.

If you didn't know I've already given a copy of Pirates of the Caribbean to Lainy and Carolyn so if your dying to watch it I'm sure they can accomodate you. Or I might be able to find a copy of the CD images if you want one delivered :) They are VCD too so you can use them in your DVD player :)
I told you Xander got injured again, but everytime I see that it rattles me somewhat. I mean for the love of god, CALEBS FINGERS IN HIS EYE. Ack and the scream he does *shudder*

Date: 2003-07-15 11:04 pm (UTC)And yeah, I vaguely remember you and Cameron warning me about Xander, but gawd, I had no idea! With the trembling, and the squelchy sound, and the blood, and ewewewewew, poor, poor Xander. *sniff*
