Dirty Three were soooo coool, last Friday. Not actually as cool as last year but I had a stellar spot this time, right next to the stage. There was a big bass speaker right next to my knee. Very cool. No Indian Love Song or IRATWOYUTLM (!) this time, but lots of good stuff and some new stuff. Some Summers They Drop Like Flies was a highlight. And they played Hope! Very unexpected, and one of my favs.

Marty P is the cutest little dude ever, I want to take him home with me and pat him. In a totally non-naughty way (well, maybe a little naughty). Jim White is such a fantastic drummer, absolutely riveting. They all play so well together. *sigh* Just lovely.

Then I got home and found I had a big honking piece of paper stuck to my ass, most likely for the entire night. :-D teehee.

Check out this really cool link: http://everything2.com/?node_id=1439751

It reminds me of this fantastic Neil Gaiman short story called 'We Can Get Them For You Wholesale'. Check it out, it's great (then again, when is he not?).

I am woman, hear me sulk

Ooohhh - I like that story :) The one with the lock I mean. I think ppl's different interpretations of it were interesting too: I thought it was scary because he was trapped, and there was no one to let him out. It didn't occur to me there might be something he was trying to keep out.....

Intriguing. ^_^
