Dec. 1st, 2002 10:16 pmI'm generally a fan of creepy-crawlies. Spiders are among my favourite animals. But oh dear god, I just spent two days at Hindmarsh Island for a birthday party and the MILLIPEDES. My lord jesus christ, these things freak me out so bad. Stepping on them with shoes, stepping on them barefoot. Trying to get to sleep when you KNOW they're crawling on the walls and are going to fall into your open mouth when you finally do drop off. The way they get into EVERYTHING. Everything I ate that even thought about being crunchy immediately came under suspicion. Hate, hate, hate! They give me the heebie jeebies so. bad. I will never ever move to the country, and if I do I'm buying a chihuahua and training it to go millipede hunting. They're a fucking menace. What is their purpose? What role do they serve on the food chain? How do they hold the ecosystem together? Why does there have to be SO DAMN MANY of them?
Looks dead, smells dead, yet it's moving around. That's interesting.

Neways, I don't see how millipedes can be more scary than spiders cos I've had at least two times when i've woken up and felt a spider crawling over my face! Now THAT is bloody scary! Millipedes on the other hand can't do anything but curl up and get scared but spiders! They BITE!!! Then run all over the place! *running away at the thought!* Ugh!
Hmm, next time I get to see I gotta borrow the Nick Cave Where the Wild roses grow album. . . at least I think that's what that ep is called, but I'm not sure. I sooo have to get that Ballad song from the B side! lolol, that has to be one of the greatest and funniest songs around!!

You shoulda stuck around longer! *g*
I don't think millipedes are scarier than spiders because spiders can still scare the hell out of me....but they are SO. MUCH. CREEPIER. Eeeeeee! All those creepy legs and the creepy hard bodies and ewewewewewew.
The album you're referring to is Murder Ballads, which is bloody brilliant. The Ballad of Robert Moore and Betty Coltrane is the b-side to the WTWRG single.
I do get an email when someone replies. Yay! Keep replying *g*
And wheeeeee LOTR. You have to buy your ticket soon. 10:30 session on Boxing Day.
