Stagger Lee - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
So this song took like 15 minutes to write (well, the lyrics were found)? Fuck. It has everything. Groovy bass. Fucking funny lyrics. Fun to sing to, fun to dance to. Love! Love!
2. An artist you fell in love with as soon as you heard one song by them, and where you were when you heard it.
Einsturzende Neubauten. I was watching a Nick special on Rage, and I saw Blume. And I was fucking transfixed. Plus, Blixa made me giggle. And I've never looked back...
A similar thing happened recently when I saw Svefn-G-Englar by Sigur Ros. Songs like that don't come around too often. Highly recommended.
3. Three albums that you associate with your high school years.
The Fragile - Nine Inch Nails. My teenage rebellion.
Haus der Luge - Einsturzende Neubauten. Redefined music for me.
The Wall - Pink Floyd. Something carried right through school. The only one of my favourite bands my friends had actually *heard* of. My first high school crush was a Floyd fan, too.
