I've seen more than my average number of movies recently. The low down:
Austin Powers - Goldmember: (it just came out over here); consistently slightly amusing, if that makes sense.
Shallow Hal: Sweeter than I expected
Pleasantville: Good, until the ending, which, argh! Was too happy. Is it meant to be? I don't know!
Iron Giant: Quite good and amusing...made me cry. :-(
Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil: I've *finally* seen this! Just as good as I expected - Cusack and Spacey are of course brilliant, Lady Chablis v. funny. At first I didn't have a good sense of closure but a few hours on the ending is growing on me substantially. The blond chick bugged me, but.

Man, is Urban Legends bad. Oh, the awfulness of that movie. Even the Rosenbaumy goodness cannot save that piece of tripe. Although it's fun to make fun of. But not if you have to watch it at the same time.

Next up I have to see Love! Valour! Compassion!, just 'cause. Of John Glover. And Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas because there is no way I could wrap my head around that in one sitting. Man.

And some time out to regress briefly: I saw Sleeping Beauty again the other day! Pretty much my favourite movie as a kid and I'd not seen it for years and years. How bloody awesome if Maleficent? Who needs depth when you have horns? I worshipped her as a kid. That voice..... And, Fauna bears an *uncanny* resemblance to my next-door neighbour. Really scary.

Winamp 3 keeps giving me shit with my old skins, despite promises to the contrary. And it seems I can't do the 'automatically detect music now, please' trick with it. :-( But the opacity thing is fun to play with.

What kind of porno would you star in?
