And if you think about it, Fraser & Kowalski(/Vecchio) are just different, if loose, adaptations of Holmes & Watson anyway, so history is just repeating itself in a parallel universe.

I didn't think about it, but now I have, and I think it's great!

I've spent far too much time thinking about which characters count as Holmes adaptations, even if that wasn't the creator's intention. They do stack up.
