oh my god, I am so over these retro fucking indie garage revival thrashed-to-death-by-Triple-J starting-with-"the" bands. Friday night Rage is such a waste of time. These twenty-something whiteboys need to listen to some Kate Bush and get an idea of what originality means.

Bwahaha. Knowing that my girlfriend worships Kate Bush as a goddess, I woke her up to read her this post. And then she yelled out "KATE KATE KATE KATE KATE" a lot and then said I should give you the link to her music which is nothing if not original.

oh my god, it's like if kate, robert smith, ian curtis and ute lemper had an orgy and birthed a fearsome electo-drama baby. Songs of My People is gloriously eighties, so much the synth-prog of my childhood. Also, bonus points for incorporating tino rangatiratanga. Fucking awesome.

Thanks for your kind words - I personally thought "SomP" was the least successful song on the album (it was the one I wrote last, the vocals are mixed too loud and the lyrics are goofy, and I used a canned drum pattern for it), but I often find that people most appreciate the stuff that makes me cringe a bit.
