nigeltde: if trixie could just think hard enough she would undo everything (tick)
It's curious to see Silence of the Lambs left out of this list of great post-1990 horror films. For me it's definately one of the classics. Clarice Starling is a fantastic heroine, and the climax in the dark is one of my top all-time scary moments, it really touches something in me. Hannibal Lecter and Buffalo Bill are two fun, creepy bad guys, there are lots of great lines and it has a wonderfully labyrinthine, gothic visual look. (and seriously, The Sixth Sense? Scary? Nuh uh.)

Similarly, Kubrick's The Shining is left out of the top pre-1990 horror films. I've only seen it once but it creeped the ever-loving shit out of me. I must see it again soon.

Note to self: see Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, The Hunger, Prophecy, The Ring (either version).

Rank these bands in your own personal best-to-worst order, removing one from the list and adding one of your own. )

ETA: A giggle
The Queer Eye guys makeover some Fandom Men. Excerpt from Jack Sparrow's:

TED: Come and take a look at the bar. We’ve tried to provide a little more variety, a little more finesse -- some top-brand vodka for mixers, a nice brandy --

JACK: Where is the rum?

TED: Rum -- you know, rum’s nice in a pina colada or something like that, but it’s a little downscale, and if you’ll just consider --

JACK (pulls out musket): We’ll be putting the rum back, mate.

TED: And the rum goes back.
