movies, books, music, comics, et al

Or something that would send someone into a coma, or something, keeping them there until they could be found? Even if there was more than one person, the second would just assume the first person had got the problem wrong and try another one. 'Nettle wine' my arse. Or for that matter, why didn't Flitwick just not provide a key that fit? Ah well. It serves the plot, and it is just a kid's book, after all. Plus it's good fun to read, so to hell with logic.
I saw Spiderman on Friday, managing in the process to forget to tape the Making Of... special. I'm so awfully sorry, Lainy. The movie was pretty good, not brilliant. I didn't think the special effect were as overdone as everyone says. Ol' MacG was good, delivering groaner lines with aplomb. Spidey's costume was fantastic (especially the first version, teehee), but I think they messed up Gobby's, especially the mask. Kirsten Dunst was, I hate to say, a little boring, and the 'twist' at the start may as well have had neon signs pointing the way, but overall an enjoyable movie. And quite funny in places.
Saw it with the family, first time we'd been out together for ages; in fact, since we'd seen Phantom Menace at the movies. Overall a good time, although a bit rocky in times, mostly thanks to my sister's idiocy and mother's intolerance. Had an extraordinary vegetarian lasagna. I'd forgotten how nice it was to be out with the family.
Found out on Saturday that Alan Cumming is playing Nightcrawler in X-Men 2. WOO!
Also bought Beriln Babylon @ Big Star for a measly $32 that I couldn't afford anyway. I feel guilty about it now, but it started singing 'Don't Pass Me By', and so I couldn't.
Hmm, that's about it. Exams coming up, but instead of studying I'm spending inordinate amounts of time at this game. It's addictivness even overcomes the annoying side effects.
