nigeltdebumface is walking around with a Darth Vader helmet/mask (complete with voice modifier) and even though it's dusty and ridiculous it's surprisingly scary, like her head has been eaten by it. The bulbous fly eyes are dead and expressionless and I never before realised how much the design draws from animal skulls in profile. Inhuman and fah-rea-KEY. Even after the character was made 110% ludicrous by the prequel movies the Vader costume still has those scary associations.
