nigeltdeOOTP gets a thumbs up from me. I watched GOF again yesterday and thought it was mostly balls, but I was very excited about OOTP and it didn't disappoint.
Luna rocked the casbah. Rickman hammed that shit up, more Snape is always a good thing. Emma Watson learned how to speak without expelling all the air from her lungs at every word (she's an odd one, at times she's better than the other two and at other times much worse). The twins are no longer identical, but still funny. Imelda Staunton was freakily good. All omissions were sensible and understandable; all additions were likewise or at the very least amusing;* guess they should have ditched Steve Kloves ages ago. Radcliffe sure is buff these days. The best find of the lot might be Bonnie Wright, I'm looking forward to seeing what she does with Ginny in HBP. I would wolf-whistle, too, if she wasn't, like, three years old. Mr Weasley is SO FUCKING CUTE. Voldemort and Dumbledore are still drama queening it up, which is awesome in the former case although not so much in the latter (although at least Dumbledore is recognisable). Has Tom Felton been replaced by Over-actormatic 2000? Oh and why did they cut all the boys' hair? All the boys were at least 50% less cute than in GOF. Oh, and NEEDS MOAR LUPIN.

*One thing they changed in the movie that I prefer to the book was Hermione's reaction to Grawp, it humanises Grawp and allows Watson to show off her comic timing, which is excellent.

Re-read all the books, too, over the last couple of weeks. Snape is still my favourite character, he's the most interesting anyway. I just adore Ginny's progression; she's so fucking awesome by HBP. Rowling is not the best writer but by god she gives good plot and the next couple weeks are going to be tough!
ETA: Oh, and what are the theories about Crookshanks, anyone know? Because that ain't no mere cat, fo sho, re-reading has convinced me of it, but I'm not clever enough to come up with theories myself.
