So, um.......Torchwood does get better, right? Right? Cause four episodes in even Captain Jack is losing his shine.

It...um....well, the latest ep (They Keep Killing Suzie) was kind of excellent.

Apart from that? Um...just keep remembering how pretty Captain Jack is. And the fact that the pterodactyl is named Myfanwe, which is neat.

Myfanwe, awesome! Also awesome is the title of that ep.

To give it its due, I did like the first episode a lot. The scripts since then have made me balk, but by god there *is* a lot of pretty. Plus, they swear a whole lot!!! Plus, Jack keeps the Doctor's hand in a JAR!! Plus, they are gay a whole lot!!! Ianto is my fav so far, he and Jack need to sex it up even more. IN MY PANTS.

Ianto is one of the more interesting characters. (And, um, there might be some canonical sexing-up in a future ep. Just sayin´.)

I think it´s quite interesting to watch the Declassifieds (the 10 min behind the scenes shorts). Like, the ep with the fairies (which is #5) - I don´t think I´m spoiling you to say that there are fairies, and they are not entirely good. They´re, like, eeevviiillll. Or amoral. Whatevs.

Anyway, on the Declassified it seems like (and I really hope it was just edited that way, because the writer of that ep did a ton of Sapphire and Steel,) they all thought that they were the first people ever to come up with the idea of Bad Fairies. Let alone the academic in me who is all ¨...WHERE DO YOU THINK THE MYTH CAME FROM, AND THEN GOT VICTORIANISED, YOU BASTARDS¨, it´s just....no, sweeties, your idea isn´t original.

The other interesting thing that comes through in the declassifieds is the fact that I think Owen is portrayed a lot differently in their minds and ours. To them, he´s a charming lad-about-town, the clown of the group, no surprise that he gets the ladies. To me? He´s kind of repulsive. And when he is portrayed as a competent doctor (and it took me until reading the Torchwood Hub to figure that he´s meant to be a medical doctor, and a good one,) I was totally flabbergasted.

Anyway, I´m distracted ranting and I have to get to work. Goddamnit.
