How lovely it was to see lydia_petze again! It really didn't feel like a year since she last came to Adelaide. I have U2 to thank, I suppose, for the spur-of-the-moment interstate travel, and I'm glad because it was awesome to see the glow on l_p and lastrega's faces, they were rapt (it reminded me of Latrine in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, saying "I was this close: I touched it," a heh heh heh). And then on Friday lainy and I went down to Glenelg to have a lovely brekkie. It was a splendid day, sunny and clear, and we went for a bit of a walk along the jetty which I haven't done for years. Visitors are awesome because they let you do touristy things you're too jaded and busy to do IRL.

Anyways it's bed time but thanks, ladies, for a fab couple of days! I'm so happy the concert (if not the lining up!) went well for you!

I keep meaning to write it up for my lj! I had a lovely time. Took the tram into town. Went to the museum (drag exhibit!)and the art gallery (surrealists!) and had a guided tour of Ayres house with a charming couple from Oregon (no, seriously) if you can envisage that. Bought a bunch of cds from a cool shop and found a lesbian coffee shop in some little laneway(I think I have radar). Collapsed under a tree for an hour in the Botanic Gardens and tried to remember when ours last looked that green. Adelaide was much prettier and funkier than I'd imagined.

Small moments of panic trying to find a cab or the skylink bus when it was time to go, but I managed. Found my way around the place without cracking a map once. Go me.

You know, I didn't even know there was a drag exhibit on! This is why I love visitors. I went to check it out the other day, it was shiny. It's cool you found your way down to North Terrace, our Cultural Boulevard :-D Some don't, but I think it's very pretty. And you would have gone past the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where I work! Yay! Anyway, I'm glad you had a good arvo without too much panicking :-)

I had to laugh at myself when I realised I'd made it directly to the hospital. Like seriously, I can't stay away from the bloody places.
