Both wikipedia and google have failed me, can you believe it?
But you won't fail me, will you, beautiful friends?
I've got the image and sound of this cartoon character in my head. I'm almost 100% certain he's a Hanna-Barbera character, esp as the only pic I've found was on wikipedia's H-B page. He's a white dog with red hair and a mournful voice. Here's a pic.
