I'm hoping against hope the IR "reforms" will do that for us. Sad thing is, most people in this country will only move when their own hip pocket is threatened.

Schapelle Corby bugs me in a way Van Nguyen didn't, and I'm not sure why. It might be her Kath and Kim family, whereas the Nguyen family displayed such quiet, agonised dignity. That's emotive and unfair of me, but there you have it. Neither of them deserve to die, or rot in those vile overcrowded holes for their minor crimes.

And Jesus, what was with the public savaging of Michelle Leslie? If I'd been in her shoes, I'd have pretended to be a Muslim, too.

I got home from the movies and didn't want to turn on the TV. For some reason, my SMH email hadn't come through, so I was in this little vaccuum. Then I couldn't stand it any longer and put the news on. Cunts.
