Actually, those observations you made on Lupin & Tonks I thought were good ones. It's a pity she couldnt have at least *hinted* that Lupin was carrying a bit of a torch for Black - and it maybe wouldnt have been too far off-track if Tonks had a crush on a fellow student, or even McGonnagal ...
Actually, that wouldnt be a bad idea for a fic. Lupin & Tonks help each other out of the closet, and somewhere along the way we find out that the real reason why Snape didn't like her new Patronus was because her old one was something a little more sapphic & therefore truer to her real self (etc.)
