Although I must inquire...because I am hopelessly inept in some things...er, how do I need to save an upload such an animated wonder? I really am behind.

It's just like any normal icon; right-click-save-as to your hard drive (it should save as a .gif), then log in and go manage-->user pics and follow the bouncing ball!
