in which I am bitter, again

Oh my lord, what the hell has happened to my beautiful tvtome.com? It's turned into a huge, wanky monstrosity that takes ages to load, especially on my slow computer, fucks up with firefox and tries to be all cool and space-age but is really just all-around LAME. A window popped up and asked if I wanted to take a survey--"your contribution is important to us", it said--so I thought hey, feedback! I can tell them what an how tvtome was such a great, convenient, quick resource just chock full of data and how all the bells and whistles are obfuscating that. But no. It was just a demographics survey for advertising. Goddamn!
First allmusic.com, then tvtome.com, if imdb goes the same route I will cancel the internet!
(OK, I'll admit I like the extra pictures. But they could have included that without fucking up the rest!)

What was wrong with the old version?!

Date: 2005-06-20 12:12 pm (UTC)Anyway, from the yabberings from my fellow geeks it would appear that the guy who owned tvtome.com sold the site to Cnet and was then employed by them to keep it running. This results in them completely redo'ing the whole damn thing and making it awful :(
Next thing you know there'll be jamster adds popping up all over it >_<
