Bush and Howard love-fest.

nigeltdeJust when I think my loathing for these two, dare I say, men, can't get any more intense, the knobheads pop up with their fucking rehtoric and make me want to stick sporks in their eyes.
PRESIDENT BUSH: ...It would be a disastrous decision for the leader of a great country like Australia to say that, we're pulling out. It would dispirit those who love freedom in Iraq. It would say that the Australian government doesn't see the hope of a free and democratic society leading to a peaceful world. It would embolden the enemy who believe that they can shake our will. See, they want to kill innocent life because they think that the Western world and the free world is weak; that when times get tough we will shirk our duty to those who long for freedom, and we'll leave.
This is the way I see it: if our motives for going in were humanitartian, then we can't withdraw just because we're scared we might become a target (Mr Latham, I'm looking at you). But our motives were't humanitarian, in which case we shouldn't have been in there at all, in which case we should pull out. I don't think we should shirk any of our duties to the Iraqi people, and I think we should definately help clean up the big fucking mess we made there, but I'm far from being convinced that a continued large military presence (which won't even be answerable to the new govt) is the best way to do this. They have absolutely no moral legitimacy left, they're just hurting people and getting hurt, and breeding hate and resentment and fundamentalism and new terrorists. You can't force people to be free at the end of a gun. So fuck you very much, Dubya, quit talking about freedom and values you know nothing about, and keep your fucking nose out of our election. Howard, keep your fucking nose out of the President's arse, please.
