Mar. 26th, 2003 08:11 pmIt's mine, my own, my prrreeeciousss. Or it will be in 15-20 days.
Sports Night. Very cool. I love you,
lydia_petze, for going on about it so much that I went to the trouble to tape it. Oh! So cute and amusing and smart. Dan is brilliant.
One question. Is that a laugh track? Because why, god, why?
Our war coverage is so crappy. Only two of our daily papers are not gung-ho about the war. Can you believe Channel 9 actually has more news coverage than the ABC? Channel 9, bastion of ultra-conservative family viewing and Survivor! These are sad, sad times.
Surprised by joy -impatient as the wind
I turned to share the transport -Oh! with whom
But Thee, deep buried in the silent tomb,
That spot which no vicissitude can find?
Love, faithful love, recalled thee to my mind -
But how could I forget thee? Through what power,
Even for the least division of an hour,
Have I been so beguiled as to be blind
To my most grievous loss? -That thought's return
Was the worst pang that sorrow ever bore
Save one, one only, when I stood forlorn,
Knowing my heart's best treasure was no more;
That neither present time, nor years unborn,
Could to my sight that heavenly face restore.
-William Wordsworth
Saddest. Poem. Ever. Luckily I didn't start bawling in the middle of class. It's bad enough I keep falling down stairs and over my own feet. I don't think my reputation could take any more blows...
