For the next couple of days you can buy a great little book called Change the World for $10 from Big Issue vendors. It is, in fact, only $10, and half that price goes to the vendor, as usual. It's a nice little book full of easy, everyday things you can do to make the world a bit better. For instance, did you know you can donate old pairs of spectacles to an organisation that distributes them to people in the third world? It never even crossed my mind that that was possible! I have several old pairs hanging around in case of emergency so I think I'll post 'em in.

Meanwhile, got my Adelaide Festival 2006 program and aside from everything else (like a pretty cool production of Macbeth, it looks)--OMG! Vikram Seth is coming to writers week! Squee!
