whoooooo Two Towers!

TTT:EE = Fantastic. Some of the scenes, I guess, didn't really have to go back in but they still do more to help than hinder*. And the other scenes -- bliss! I'm so happy to see some of the most iconic and memorable scenes from the book appear, especially the Merry/Pippin stuff. I must say, my respect for Miranda Otto has increased tenfold after hearing the cast commentary (not that I hated her before or anything). Same for Andy Serkis, man, what a fucking trooper. I get the impression that Peter Jackson and Viggo Mortensen, more than any other men on the production, were leaders and inspirations. Same for Fran Walsh. Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd continue to crack me up like nobody's business. And I had to change my underwear after Sean Bean's reappearance. The docos were, as usual, absolutely fascinating. I have my quibbles with the film itself - namely, Jackson's propensity at times for cloying cuteness - but the entire package is just awesome stuff. RoTK is going to be magnificent.
