Sep. 16th, 2003 08:00 pmTook Michelle out horse riding for her birthday on Sunday. First time I'd ridden since the trip to England in 01. Putting on my boots felt like coming home (moreover, they actually still fit me!). We went on a 2 hour trail ride, it was absolutely awesome. My horse was a Clydesdale Thoroughbred cross called Tinkerbell . She was so wide, had the hugest gait, but still really smooth and comfortable. Now I wanna start lesssons again, I'll have to see if I can fit it into my budget.
Downside was the weather which was incredibly mercurial, sun one second and rain the next. We got hailed on three or four times. I felt like a giant iceblock by the end. By Sunday night I was feeling crook. For the last two days I've been alternately teeth-chatteringly, shiveringly cold and despairingly hot. Went to the doctor today, had a temp of 39.5, the worst I've ever been. I don't get sick very often, and I absolutely hate it. Anyway, doc says I have the flu and it should go away in a couple of days. It better.
Stolen from Neil Gaiman's blog: Being an Account of the Life and Death of the Emperor Heliogabolus, a 24 hour comic. A very funny and charming look at a strange, strange man.
