Firstly, apparently TV shows in the 7pm timeslot aren't allowed to use the words 'gay' and 'lesbian'. WTF??!! They're allowed to show it but not say it. That's insane.
And ooohhhhhh am I so mad at today's paper. Our local, the Adelaide Advertiser, saw it fit to make the front page full of SPORT and a COMPETITION they were running. Never mind the fact that a WORLD LEADER is being HELD PRISONER in his own fucking compound! No, that's for page TWENTY TWO!!! Yes, page 22, the ONE PAGE of world news our local sees fit to show us. Stories that ranked above this trivial piece of information: There's a wine tasting competition on! Ian Thorpe is in China! We love Lleyton Hewit! And most of all, sport sport sport!
And people wonder why I want to get OUT of here.
Christ. OK, blood pressure lowering.
Today is also a very 'weight lifted from shoulders' day because I've handed in a major assignment. And I never have to see the book Frankenstein again if I don't want to. Hallelujah!
