JayKay posted the seeeeeeequeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllll! Yay!!

What is your meaning of life?

Well look at you. Not much you can say against
a giant, evil eyeball who very nearly took over
Middle-Earth.
Advice: Don't underestimate the little furry guys.

Oh, I am so the baddest bad guy in the whole of Middle Earth. Heh, heh, heh.

This journal is rapidly turning into something where I just post quiz results and have fannish orgasms, so I'll try and post something in here that's mildly interesting. I saw Little Voice just ten minutes ago. I wanted to see it because it has Jane Horrocks (I'm in love with Bubbles) and Ewan McGregor in it. And My. God. Jane Horrocks is so incredibly talented, she should have won every possible award just for her singing alone. I had no idea! It's difficult to reconcile Bubbles with that shy little creature I've just been watching, even if the voice is the same. Michael Caine kicks ass. And while I was at the video store, I saw Truely, Madly, Deeply in the DVD section. I almost caved and rented it, but I knew my dad would have killed me. I would've gotten Die Hard but it wasn't there, so we got Black and White. Lainy, if this movie isn't good, I'll be after your arse. ;-]

Also I was listening to the radio on the way home today, there was this dude from the US talking about violence in the media. A lot of what he was saying was fine, but then he came out with something along the lines of this:

"Kids are listening to a lot of music, it's called alternative...there's this one very aggressive band...they're called the Nine Inch Nails...all their lyrics are extremely aggressive"

He also made some lameass comment about Kurt Cobain ("he was in a band called Nirvana, I don't know whether you've heard of them"), proving beyond all doubt that he he was a bumbling fool and was totally out of touch with youth culture despite the fact that he was apparently a child pyschiatrist. The NIN comment really pissed me off - yeah sure, a large portion of Trent's songs are aggressive, but damn, he can write some of the most beautiful and haunting music this side of la la land. He's also maturing hugely as a writer and the Fragile, to me, was largely about hope. Why can't people leave Trent and Marilyn alone, and pick on someone who really deserves it? Like Limp Bizkit? Or Eminem? Heh, I know that just made me a terrible hypocrite, but those people preach hate and conformity, not defiance of the establishment (Marilyn Manson) or examination of the self (NIN).

On the less pissed off side of things (this entry has been rather mood-swingy, eh?), only two sleeps till Nick Cave. If I tried to explain my excitement I'd probably combust, so I'll leave it up to your imaginations.
