I only have the first 2 novels. Though they did do an adaption of The Black Stallion and Satan.
The copies I have are from 1983 and are translated from the original Belgian version.

(I love The Black Stallion and Satan! It's probably my favourite of the novels that I've read, although the movie reigns supreme)

it's my current favourite. I can't get over the perfection of Pacino or the opening sequence with Amoreena or the sweat that permeates every frame or the hilarious tellers or the fickle crowd or his heartbreaking family or god, Pacino on the phone and dictating his will. I just...it never fails to astound me.

And the final scene! And Leon, when he talks on the phone to Leon, and you see the love there but also why it's falling apart.

And Sonny tries and tries to do take care of things and keep it together but he's just bleeding desperation all over the place. The insane people he has to deal with, and he just keeps digging himself deeper, always making the wrong choices.

Yes! It's as though the weight of responsibility has driven him to do something totally irresponsible. And the tragic thing is that he's a clever guy, it might have worked out if he hadn't picked such damaged fools as accomplices.

he's a clever guy with a huge heart but he also needs to be needed, he needs to be a provider. He takes it upon himself to be the perfect partner in every relationship; his dedication is extreme so his methods have to be too. Plus he's almost more of a drama queen than Leon! It's such a rich and rewarding movie.

Firstly, OMG YOUR ICON. Despite the fact I was way too old for it -- wait, scratch that. You can't be too old for Fairy Odd Parents. Anyway. COSMO! I love that show.

Second, haha, yes. A new favorite, Music & Lyrics, has "Washed Up Star/Opposites Attract/Doorman" as its keywords, and Friday Night Lights (the movie) yields "Coin Toss/Oil/Drunk Scene." Totally inessential, but still oddly representative (haha, odd!).

my god, the cognitive dissonance when I realised that Cliff the Awesome Degenerate Lawyer on VM voiced Cosmo! Oh, the squee of random fandom connections!

Fairly OddParents is so much love, I always bust a gut watching it. YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN, ha ha ha!
