1) My journal is called "come on in my kitchen", the titular lyric from an old Robert Johnson tune. While the full song isn't really what I'm about, I just love the title and the metaphor it can lend to the journal. I love the concept of toolboxes (go Unix!), but am more of an indoorsy food person than an outdoorsy hammer person; so come on in my kitchen, poke around the draws and at the utensils, take a look in the fridge, which I've forgotten to stock up with lots of things but contains a shitload of chocolate. Ok, I've pretty much beaten it to death now.

2) My subtitle is invisible, because I don't have one.

3) My friends page is called "off with superfly", a Tori Amos lyric from 'Horses'. And who the hell can tell what she ever means, but I found it appropriate because my friends page is always full of brilliant people and links that never fail to captivate me.

4) My username is nigeltde, a relic from by DAAS fandom days. It stands for Nigel the Dwarf Exploder. I never really figured out what it meant but I've always found it hilarious.

5) My default userpic is

, a blend of a bunch of my favourite things: one of my fav songs from my fav albums from my fav artists (respectively Mr Zebra, Boys For Pele, Tori), one of my fav characters from my fav comics (Death from Neil Gaiman's Sandman series), and Adam Hughes, one of my fav comic book artists.

6) My journal name is "lick my love pump", a quote from one of the best nigels EVAH.

I made my first ever melanzane parmigiana yesterday, out of a desperate longing for the one I used to eat pretty much twice a day in Italy, and it turned out not half bad! *channels Z from Wonder Boys* I am...a cook!.

Also: oh my god, what utter twats!. I hear the movie isn't really that good, but damn it, I'm gonna see it anyway. Even if I DO have to endure him making passes at his male friends.
